About the Position

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading and scaling Teachers of Tomorrow’s national K-12 sales organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, this executive will drive sales performance, build sales infrastructure, and develop a high-performance culture across a distributed national sales team. 

This role oversees regional and territory sales leaders and individual contributors responsible for district partnerships, professional development sales, certification pathways, and test prep solutions.

The VP of Sales will translate company growth strategy into measurable sales execution while ensuring operational discipline, forecasting accuracy, and strong partnership alignment with marketing, product, and customer success teams.

What You Will Do:

Key Responsibilities:

National Sales Leadership

  • Lead and manage the national sales organization across all territories
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales leaders and account executives
  • Establish performance expectations, coaching cadence, and accountability systems
  • Build a scalable sales structure supporting multi-state expansion

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Translate company growth strategy into actionable sales plans
  • Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Optimize territory coverage and account segmentation
  • Lead strategic pursuits with enterprise districts and multi-district organizations

Sales Operations & Infrastructure

  • Build scalable forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting discipline
  • Standardize sales processes, qualification frameworks, and deal progression models
  • Improve win rates, cycle times, and pipeline conversion metrics
  • Partner with RevOps to improve CRM usage and analytics

Sales Enablement & Performance

  • Implement onboarding and ongoing sales training programs
  • Establish best practices in consultative district selling
  • Develop sales playbooks and messaging aligned to district workforce challenges
  • Coach leaders on pipeline development and closing strategy

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to align demand generation and territory coverage
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success on customer feedback loops
  • Support partnership and channel development initiatives
  • Provide field intelligence to inform product and expansion strategy

Executive Contribution

  • Participate in executive planning and sales forecasting
  • Provide board-level and executive reporting insights
  • Contribute to long-term company expansion strategy
  • Act in accordance with Teachers of Tomorrow core values
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What We are Looking For 

Required:

  • 10+ years in B2B or education sales leadership roles
  • Experience managing national or multi-region sales teams
  • Proven success scaling sales organizations through growth phases
  • Strong background in consultative or enterprise solution sales
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable sales systems
  • Executive presence and strategic thinking capability
  • Strong coaching and talent development skills
  • Data-driven sales leadership approach
  • High accountability and performance orientation
  • Ability to operate in fast-growth, evolving organizations

Preferred:

  • Experience selling into K-12 school districts or education markets
  • Education workforce, HR, SaaS, or services sales background
  • Experience supporting rapid geographic expansion

Travel: Must be willing to travel for leadership meetings, major customer engagements, conferences, ad team development
