Client Engagement Manager

Remote - HOUSTON, TX

Position Summary:

The Client Engagement Manager is the critical link to the School District leadership team that ensures Teachers of Tomorrow meets the needs of our customers, creating additional opportunities for increased teacher placements to grow revenue. They drive communications and are a key player in the development and implementation of strategies that ensure a long-term, successful relationship with our clients. They network with District and Charter School officials and often meet with large groups directly resulting in increased teacher placements for the organization. 

The right person for this role must be goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and achieve objectives. They must be an outgoing, enthusiastic communicator with people at all levels of an organization and not afraid to pick up the phone and call. They must be able to travel to meetings and recruiting events, as well as state/national conferences. They will manage and grow their assigned territory and be responsible for achieving quotas for placed candidates (Hires), Test Prep, and Professional Development. Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to manage a high activity environment and business acumen are a must. The Client Engagement Manager role flourishes in a small company environment, is a self-starter and enjoys the flexibility necessary to succeed. *Preferred candidate will be located in Texas*

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Hold broad knowledge of program and state requirements for teacher certification.
  • Work with the leadership team to plan and implement territory plan that includes sales campaigns, recruiting, marketing, and conversion strategies to place candidates in teaching positions. 
  • Meet or exceed targets by engaging directly with districts/charter schools to facilitate available candidate lists & placement of candidates.
  • Work closely with Client Success Managers to pass leads or make introductions resulting in Direct to District sales. This could also include but is not limited to overseeing the closed partnership.
  • Creating and utilizing department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to prioritize efforts and promote company growth.
  • Proactively develop and strengthen client relationships with school district and charter school HR departments and campus principals throughout your assigned territory. Provide excellent client support to ensure Teachers of Tomorrow is the first program schools look to for new teachers.
  • Plan and represent company at state, regional, and national events geared towards both networking and recruiting. 
  • Provide effective sales-oriented communications, presentations and campaigns that promote positive public awareness of and successful participation in Teachers of Tomorrow’s certification program. 
  • Provide status updates and other services to districts to promote customer service and differentiate our program from other programs. 
  • Identify challenges to objectives & implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Conduct presentations and webinars for potential teacher candidates with a goal of increasing the candidate pool and direct to district sales.
  • Be able to work from home with the ability to travel 20-30% of the time and work occasional evenings and weekends. 

Key Measurements 

  • Hires by district by state within assigned territory
  • Direct to District Sales within assigned territory
  • Targets for The Learning Liaison/ Test Prep
  • Targets for Simple K12/ Professional Development 
  • Activities (meetings, emails, phone calls) to the districts

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a major university with strong grades.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a sales or relationship building role with proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned objectives. 
  • Able to travel statewide, work weekends and evenings, as necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good networking skills, comfortable in a sales environment.\
  • Effective public speaker.
  • Self-driven, goal oriented active learner.
  • Team oriented approach and personality.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software and CRM applications.
