About the Position
Teachers of Tomorrow, the nation’s largest alternative certification provider, is seeking a Classroom Support Associate - Mentors to help our efforts in ensuring all Teachers of Tomorrow interns on an Intern Certificate are assigned a campus-based mentor, that the mentor has received mentor training from the campus or district or from Teachers of Tomorrow, and that the district or campus principal has verified the mentor is qualified for the mentor position according to The Texas Administrative Code 19 TAC §228.35 (f) and 19 TAC §228.2(24).
What You Will Do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of mentor requirements to support compliance with Texas Administrative Code 19 TAC §228.35(f) and 19 TAC §228.2(24).
- Assist TOT staff, field supervisors, district staff, and campus personnel by responding to questions related to mentor responsibilities, communications, and required documentation.
- Support program partnerships by preparing and sending communications to district and campus mentors as directed.
- Enter, track, and update data on mentor assignments, qualifications, and feedback provided to field supervisors.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and district/campus staff to ensure accurate records and compliance with Texas Administrative Code requirements.
- Model and uphold Teachers of Tomorrow’s core values in daily work.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We are Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from a leading university with academic excellence or commensurate experience in an educational or professional administrative capacity.
- 1-2 years providing excellent customer service, attention to detail, problem solving skills, critical thinker and written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and managing and interpreting data
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain workflow volume
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service
