About the Position
The Marketing Automation and Campaign Specialist for the alternative certification brands is a hands-on campaign executor responsible for writing, building, testing, launching and optimizing lifecycle and promotional communications for Teachers of Tomorrow and #TEACH. The role translates approved marketing priorities into clear, timely and conversion-focused campaigns that support candidates from initial interest through enrollment, progression, hiring and completion.
This position owns day-to-day campaign production across email, SMS, landing pages and in-portal messaging, including HubSpot workflows, lists, segmentation, quality assurance and performance monitoring. Working under the Associate Director of Lifecycle Marketing, the specialist partners with marketing functional leaders, state operations, enrollment and compliance teams to move campaigns from brief through launch and optimization.
What You Will Do:
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Campaign Content and Execution
- Writes and builds email, SMS, landing-page and in-portal campaign content for Teachers of Tomorrow and its alternative certification affiliated brand.
- Executes enrollment promotions, nurture campaigns, referral initiatives, scholarship communications, seasonal campaigns and deadline-driven messaging.
- Translates approved campaign briefs and business priorities into complete, candidate-facing communications that are clear, motivating and aligned with brand voice.
- Coordinates reviews, approvals, scheduling and launch readiness to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.
Marketing Automation and Workflow Management
- Builds, maintains and troubleshoots HubSpot workflows, including enrollment triggers, branching logic, delays, goals, exclusions and exit criteria.
- Creates and configures campaign assets, email sends, SMS messages, forms, landing-page components and tracking elements within HubSpot.
- Maintains always-on nurture programs and updates automation as candidate statuses, certification milestones, offers or operational requirements change.
- Documents workflow logic, campaign dependencies and launch requirements so programs can be maintained, reviewed and improved over time.
Lists, Segmentation and Audience Readiness
- Builds and validates campaign lists using brand, state, lifecycle stage, application or enrollment status, engagement, eligibility and other approved criteria.
- Applies suppression rules, subscription preferences, exclusions and audience safeguards before every launch.
- Partners with the HubSpot Analyst and Marketing Operations Manager to resolve data issues, clarify field logic and improve audience accuracy.
- Monitors list health and flags data gaps that could affect campaign reach, compliance or reporting.
Quality Assurance, Compliance and Launch Management
- Completes end-to-end campaign QA, including links, personalization, rendering, mobile display, sender information, workflow logic, timing and tracking.
- Confirms that approved audiences, suppressions, compliance language and state-specific requirements are correctly applied before launch.
- Coordinates with Product, State Operations, IT, Enrollment and Compliance when campaigns depend on program requirements, system changes or candidate status data.
- Maintains campaign calendars, launch checklists, status updates and dependencies in Monday.com.
Lifecycle Messaging and Funnel Engagement
- Develops and refines communications for applicants, offered-admission candidates, enrolled candidates, paid candidates, hired candidates and completers.
- Builds re-engagement, abandoned-application, progression, re-enrollment and milestone communications that help candidates take the next action in their journey.
- Aligns campaign content and timing with candidate behavior, lifecycle triggers, certification deadlines and state-specific operational needs.
- Supports promotional offers while maintaining consistent messaging across brands, channels and lifecycle stages.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitors campaign delivery, engagement, conversion and workflow performance in HubSpot and provides clear campaign readouts.
- Tests subject lines, calls to action, message content, timing, cadence and segmentation to improve results.
- Identifies underperforming campaigns or workflow issues and recommends practical adjustments.
- Documents learnings and applies them to future nurture programs, promotional campaigns and candidate communications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Works with the Associate Director of Lifecycle Marketing to translate lifecycle strategy, priorities and performance goals into executable campaigns.
- Partners with Content and Communications and Brand and Creative on campaign assets that require broader editorial or design support.
- Coordinates with Digital and Performance Marketing on landing pages, paid-campaign alignment, conversion goals and campaign timing.
- Collaborates with State Operations, Product, Enrollment, IT and Compliance to ensure communications are accurate, operationally sound and candidate-ready.

What We are Looking For:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three to five years of experience in marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, campaign operations or a related execution-focused marketing role.
- Advanced hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including workflows, active and static lists, segmentation, email, forms, landing pages, campaign tracking and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Monday.com, Miro, web site content management systems and Microsoft 365; experience with HubSpot SMS, Twilio or a comparable SMS platform is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience writing and launching multi-channel campaigns, managing audience segmentation and completing end-to-end quality assurance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:
- Strong understanding of email and SMS best practices, subscription management, consent, suppression logic and applicable compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong copywriting and editing skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and approvals simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret campaign performance, identify practical improvements and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in a fast-moving environment.
